Services
Editing
Editing can be done at several different levels. I offer line editing and copyediting, which I often do together.
​
Line editing focuses on improving sentence structure, style, and flow. This level of editing helps to ensure clear writing that is a pleasure to read.
​
Copyediting looks for and corrects errors in spelling, grammar, word choice, and consistency. I can also check for adherence to a style guide, including references.

Proofreading & Formatting
Proofreading is the final step in the editing process. This is a mechanical edit that checks for any remaining typographical, grammatical, and formatting errors.

Indexing
A well-crafted index creates a map of the information in a document and directs users to find exactly what they are looking for.
I am currently pursuing a certificate in back-of-book indexing through the American Society for Indexing. However, no professional certification is necessary for indexing, and if you have material that you would like to have indexed for a discounted fee while I am still a trainee, please contact me.
